First You Must Understand One Thing
The Holy Bible is a prophetic book, mostly written thousands of years ago
Many of the texts in the Holy Book are speaking about events that the Prophets said will be taking place at a future time
Of course if they were speaking of things happening in their lifetime there would have been no issue
But what if what they were seeing in their visions were things happening thousands of years in the future?
This is why the holy texts of the Bible are full of metaphors and symbolism
Because the prophets tried to describe things that will exist in the future using words available in their time.
For example…
How would they describe a Russian R28 Sarmat InterContinental Missile…
When the most advanced weapons of their days were swords and spears?
How would they describe the devastation of a nuclear battle?
Basically, these prophets had to describe these events without having the appropriate words to call them
So as you will see the following Biblical passages, you have to be looking at other clues…and not take every word literally
And speaking of the Scriptures…
Actually both the New and the Old Testament describe an event that seems to be a nuclear war
In Revelation 9 we read about the third part of the mankind being killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur
Zacharia wrote in chapter 14 verse 12
“Now this will be the plague with which the Lord will strike…
“Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feed, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue will rot in their mouth”
Here the prophet need to find a word to describe what he was seeing, and the closest thing he had was “plague” –
He came up with a word that people would understand
Because in the ancient times – one of the most fierce plagues of that time was leprosy where people would actually have parts of their body fall out
So it makes sense that the first word to come to his mind was “plague”
But there is one significant difference
That is that this will happen so fast that their skin and eyes and flesh – will fall while they are still standing
AN INSTANTANEOUS EVENT
In Zacharias day, there was nothing like this but he was just using words to describe what he was seeing
Yet, this prophecy sounds exactly how a Hiroshima survivor described what she witnessed
Setsuko Thurlow, then a 13 year-old schoolgirl said…
“I call them ghosts because they simply did not look like human beings.”*
Their hair was rising upwards and they were covered with blood and dirt, they were burned and blackened and swollen.
Their skin and flesh were hanging, and parts of their bodies were missing, some were carrying their own eyeballs, and as they collapsed onto the ground their stomachs burst open and intestines started stretching out.”
Getting back to our Bible, Joel wrote in Chapter 2 – “I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood, fire and billows of smoke”
And as you will soon see, the Scriptures give quite a clear description of a judgment of fire that will be sent to earth in the last days
In Revelation Chapter 8 we read that “a third of the trees are burned up and all the green grass is burned up”
And most importantly
In Chapter 17 and 18 we read about the Judgment of the Great Whore of Babylon –
How God will cause the Kings of the earth to hate her and consume her with fire until she will be found no more at all”
And if you are now wondering who is the Whore of Babylon, you are asking the right question…
But there is one more important question we need to answer before going any further…
Where is America in the Bible?
Does it not seem odd to you that America
The richest and the most powerful country today,
The only country who has liberated other nations from evil
The greatest evangelical nation on the earth…
IS NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE?
